The app can be used without an internet connection once the content is downloaded, allowing for convenient offline use. It is compatible with Crayola Color Alive 2.0 Coloring Pages, which are available for free in the store section of the app. Users can also purchase Color Alive 2.0 Coloring Books through the app or at physical stores to access more exciting coloring options.

Using Color Alive® 2.0 is a breeze. Simply color the special coloring pages and then use the app to bring them to life as animated 3D models in Augmented Reality. The characters will appear exactly as they were colored on the page, making for a truly personalized experience.

Interacting with the animated characters is easy and intuitive. Users can tap to animate, move, rotate, size, take photos with, and even record videos of the characters. Selfie mode allows users to see themselves added to the animated fun. Backgrounds, animated color effects, and colorful photo filters can be applied to further enhance the personalized experience.

The app saves the brought-to-life characters automatically, allowing users to take the experience with them wherever they go. All app content is downloaded during the first use, enabling offline use thereafter.

To get started with a Color Alive® 2.0 book, simply download the app and follow the tutorial for an overview of the experience. Select your desired book from the main menu, scan a new page, and hold your device over the coloring page until it fills the screen. The character will come to life after a timer counts down. From there, users can interact with the character using the options on the screen.

For those without a Color Alive® 2.0 book, worry not! Simply download the app and continue the experience with the sample character available.

It's important to note that an internet connection is required for the initial app use. Additionally, in-app purchases are available to unlock additional content instead of using a Color Alive® 2.0 book. These purchases are subject to an age gate and are intended for parents.
